11/27/2013 – Hawaii Ocean Council formalized

The Hawaii Ocean Council is an inter-departmental collaboration between 14 State and County agencies. The Council was established in 2013 by Directors of State and County agencies, with unanimous support from federal and community partners. Their purpose is to facilitate greater coordination and implementation of the State’s ocean and coastal resource management priorities, as described in the Ocean Resources Management Plan and Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 205A.
