Office of Planning and Sustainable Development

The Office of Planning and Sustainable Development (OPSD) invites public comments from September 19, 2024, through October 4, 2024, on Hawaiʻi’s application for the Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) Round II grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grant seeks $3 million for infrastructure planning and design to support the Kamakana Villages Affordable Housing Project in Kailua-Kona, on Hawaiʻi Island, facilitating 1,400 predominantly affordable housing units. OPSD is leading this effort and will host a public hearing on October 2, 2024, at 1:30 P.M. (HST).
